Prashanti Bollu
Assistant Professor and Research Coordinator
Dr. Prashanti Bollu received dental school training first in India and then in the US from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Bollu holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration as well as a Master’s in Business Administration. She received her orthodontic training at the Roseman University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Bollu has received several awards for outstanding academic achievements during her undergraduate and graduate training. Her interest in research was sparked early in dental school and strengthened further during her employment at Boston University during which time she worked with many prominent researchers. She has been involved in several research projects and presented multiple posters at national conferences. Dr. Bollu has been recognized by DENTSPLY and Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, for outstanding student research.
Dr. Bollu has professional affiliations with the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association and the Southern Nevada Dental Society. She currently practices orthodontics in a few private orthodontic offices in the Las Vegas area. Dr. Bollu has recently been hired by Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine’s Henderson Campus as an Assistant Professor and Research Coordinator for the Advanced Education in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics/MBA Residency Program. She is the Course Director for the research blocks in the AEODO residency program and facilitates all resident and faculty research endeavors. Her research interests include Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), practice management issues, orthodontic insurance coverage gaps and access to orthodontic care.

James M. Broadbent, DDS, MS
Associate Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. James M. Broadbent graduated from Brigham Young University (Provo, Utah), with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Zoology. Dr. Broadbent received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from the Northwestern University Dental School (Chicago, Illinois). He completed a certificate rotating dental internship at the Chandler Medical Center, University of Kentucky (Lexington). He then served as an Assistant Professor of Crown and Bridge at Northwestern University and practiced general dentistry prior to dental specialty training. Dr. Broadbent received his Master of Science (M.S.) degree and Certificate in Orthodontics from Northwestern University.
Dr. Broadbent practiced orthodontics in Provo, Utah, and maintained involvement in dental education as adjunct faculty at Utah Technical College (now Utah Valley University), American Institute of Medical-Dental Technology, and Provo College. Dr. Broadbent made a significant contribution to the art and science of orthodontics in teaching seminars at local, state, and national and international dental meetings, and university graduate training programs. Along the way he was awarded the Joseph E. Johnson Outstanding Table Clinic, American Association of Orthodontists and twice the (AAFO) J. Robert Bronson Clinician of the Year award.
Dr. Broadbent completed board certification in orthodontics, achieving the status of Diplomate, American Board of Orthodontics. His interest and training in temporomandibular joint disorders and oral facial pain lead to achieving status of Diplomate, American Academy of Pain Management.
Dr. Broadbent has published many articles in several professional journals. He served as President of the Provo District Dental Society, Chairman annual program Utah Dental Association and President of the Utah Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Broadbent demonstrates vision and leadership in community organizations. He is recognized as a Kentucky Colonel, Commonwealth of Kentucky; member President’s Club, Brigham Young University; Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver and James E. West Fellow. More than 20-years He served Boy Scouts of America, Utah National Parks Council, as Council Jamboree Chairman, National Boy Scout Jamboree, A.P. Hill Virginia (1985, 1989, 1993) and Chair of highly successful Council events (1996, 2000). And as Council Commissioner (1987-2000) and Vice President Program (2000-2003). He earned Eagle Scout and Silver Explorer.
Dr. Broadbent is a member of the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, Utah Association of Orthodontists, American Association for Functional Orthodontics and the International Association for Orthodontics.
Presently Dr. Broadbent is Associate Professor in the College of Dental Medicine, AEODO/ MBA program. Before Roseman University he served as attending dentist and adjunct faculty at Salt Lake Community College, Dental Hygiene Program (South Jordan Campus).
Dr. Broadbent is licensed to practice dentistry in California, Nevada, and Utah.

Ben Burris
Clinical Professor of Dental Medicine
A native of Beaufort, South Carolina, Ben graduated from The Citadel, in Charleston, SC, with a BS in biology. After spending a couple years in Washington, DC and Wellington, New Zealand Ben decided to pursue orthodontics as a career, graduating from the University of Tennessee-Health Science Center’s College of Dentistry in 2001 and UT Orthodontic Residency in 2004. Since purchasing his first small practice right out of residency, Ben expanded his business to include more than a dozen locations across Arkansas and Missouri.
When not treating patients or overseeing clinic operations, Ben spends time helping other orthodontists in their businesses. He has visited over half of the orthodontic programs in the US and enjoys helping residents and dental students learn the business side of healthcare. He is co-owner of The Progressive Dentist and The Progressive Orthodontist Magazines which provide orthodontists and dentists with real-world tips on growing their practices and managing their businesses. Ben is a clinical professor of dental medicine for Roseman University in Las Vegas, where he helps teach the business and practice of orthodontics to the next generation. He is also active in industry associations, serving in leadership roles for the Southwest Society of Orthodontists (board member) and the Arkansas Society of Orthodontists. He is an alternate delegate to the AAO House of Delegates and serves on the AAO Committee to Study Members' Practice Environment and Marketplace. Ben is also a member of the Young Presidents' Organization YPO.org
Although his business successes have been great, Ben’s biggest contribution to the industry has been the formation of Smile for a Lifetime Foundation (www.S4L.org), started in Jonesboro, Ark., in 2008 to address the gap in access to orthodontic care for many children. Providing orthodontic scholarships to deserving children, S4L is approaching 100 chapters in 30 states, and since its inception has donated care to nearly 1,900 disadvantaged children, totaling close to $10 million in free care. All of Ben’s offices participate in the Foundation, and they take their charitable work seriously. In December 2011 the Jonesboro Chapter of S4L celebrated awarding their 100th scholarship in less than three years!
Ben was recognized as Jonesboro Occasions Reader’s Choice Business Leader in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Ben lives and practices in Jonesboro, AR with his wife Bridget and two young children. He values his time with the family above all else and is thankful to be in such a wonderful profession that allows for balance between work and home.

David T. Grove DMD, MS,
MSEd, MSc
Associate Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. David T. Grove received a doctorate degree in dentistry from the University of Louisville, a master of science from St. Louis University, a master of education from the University of Southern California and a master of science in advanced dentistry from Donau University in Austria. He practiced orthodontics for 33 years and was a Major in the US Army as an orthodontist in Germany for 3 years.
He was clinic director in the Department of Orthodontics and faculty in the TMD Department at the University of California San Francisco for over 2 years, and was on the faculty of the University of Nevada Medical School as director of a TMD clinic in Reno Nevada. He was also faculty of the University of Nevada School of Dental Medicine Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial orthopedics.
He has lectured across the United States and Europe. He is a member of many professional and educational organizations in the US and Europe.

John Y. H. Ismail, DMD, MS, PhD
Clinical Professor
For almost 40 years, Dr. Ismail has been a practitioner, teacher, administrator and researcher in prosthetic dentistry, implant dentistry and dental education. After completing his dental education, Dr. Ismail pursued his postgraduate education in the early 1960’s, specializing in prosthodontics (implant, esthetic, and reconstructive dentistry). He completed three years residency in prosthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and obtained a Master of Science degree in prosthodontics from the University of Pittsburgh in 1965.
Dr. Ismail because a full-time faculty member at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Pittsburgh in the mid-1960’s. Later he earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1973 and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in higher education and psychology in 1975.
For 30 years, Dr. Ismail was professor, chairman of the Department of Prosthodontics and director of the Prosthodontics Residency Program at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Pittsburgh. During this period he continued his prosthodontics private practice while teaching, conducting basic and clinical research, publishing more than 60 scientific papers in refereed journals, and lecturing across the U.S. and around the World on all aspects of prosthodontics, dentofacial esthetics and implantology. Additionally, he presented more than 90 continuing dental education programs (lectures, clinical demonstrations, and hands-on training) for dentists all over the World. Dr. Ismail was a pioneer in the fields of removable prosthodontics, temporo-mandibular joint dysfunctions, dentofacial esthetics, and in particular, the field of implant dentistry; with patents of dental implants.
Dr. Ismail held several officer positions in local, national and international organizations, and was president of the American Academy of Implant Prosthodontics, American College of Oral Implantologists, International Congress of Oral Impantologists, PA Prosthodontics Association, and Western PA Prosthodontics Organization. Dr. Ismail is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, American Academy of Implant Prosthodontists, American College of Oral Implantologists, International College of Oral Implantology, and Royal Society of Medicine.

Donald Linck DDS, MSc
Clinical Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Donald Linck II, a board certified orthodontist, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of California in San Francisco. He practiced general dentistry in the U.S. Navy (as a lieutenant) and Berkeley, California, prior to earning his specialty certification in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from Columbia University, New York, in 1968. Since then he has maintained a full time, exclusive orthodontic practice in Pleasant Hill, California. He also maintains satellite offices in Hercules and Concord, both in California.
Dr. Linck is exceedingly passionate about continuing one’s professional education as evident by one of his latest accomplishments, receiving his Master of Science Degree from the University of Donau in Krems, Austria; the topic for his master's thesis was distraction osteogenesis.
Dr. Linck's commitment to his profession and to clinical excellence has gained him considerable respect among his peers both nationally and internationally. He is often called upon to lecture around the world on such subjects in dental sciences and orthodontics as TMJ dysfunction, orthognathic surgery and distraction osteogenesis, just to name a few.
In addition to being a professor at Roseman University College of Dental Medicine, he is currently on the faculty of the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry and University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, and on staff at Stanford University School of Medicine, Division of Plastic Surgery, Children's Hospital and Research Center at Oakland, John Muir Hospital, Walnut Creek, and Mt. Diablo Hospital, Concord.
His other professional affiliations include The American Association of Orthodontists, The California State Society of Orthodontists, The Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education, The American Dental Association, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and a Charter Member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists.

Jaleh Pourhamidi DMD, MDSc
Associate Professor of Dental Medicine
Program Director, Advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics/MBA
Dr. Jaleh Pourhamidi completed her undergraduate training at University of California, San Diego in 1995. She attended University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine for her DMD degree (1999) as well as her Certificate in Orthodontics and Masters of Dental Sciences (2002). Dr. Pourhamidi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Pourhamidi has received numerous awards such as the American Association of Orthodontists Faculty Development Award, the Hinman Scholarship Award (three-time recipient), the Colgate Palmolive Award, the W. Arthur George Student Research Award, the American Dental Association Dentsply Research Award, the American Association of Dental Research Student Research Fellowship Award, and the American Association for Dental Research Student Award. She was most recently named as one of "American's Top Dentists" by the Consumers' Research Council of America, a distinction awarded to a select few based on education, years in practice, affiliation with professional associations and board certification.
Dr. Pourhamidi has given a number of educational presentations throughout the country on topics such as dental school admissions, psychosocial outcomes in patients with various craniofacial anomalies, treatment and management of cleft lip and palate, and her molecular biology research involving a common periodontal disease bacteria.
Dr. Pourhamidi's current national involvements include serving as the Chair for the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Section in Orthodontics, a reviewer for the American Dental Association's (ADA) CE Online Editorial Board, a member of the ADEA Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS) Task Force, and the Consultant to the ADA's Council on Dental Practice. She has also served as the 85th Annual ADEA Section Planning Committee Reviewer (2007-2008), a member of the ADEA House of Delegates (2007-2008), and the ADEA Section in Orthodontics Chair Elect (2006-2007).
Additionally, Dr. Pourhamidi currently holds membership in many national and international organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Educators Association, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the International Academy of Advanced Interdisciplinary Dentistry, the North American Craniofacial Conference, American Dental Association, and the International Association of Dental Research.
In her spare time, Dr. Pourhamidi enjoys hiking, running, reading, riding her road bike and various volunteer work.

Glen Roberson, DMD, BS
Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Roberson graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), New Jersey Dental School as valedictorian in 2004. During his dental training, he was the recipient of many awards and a member of many honor societies.
Following graduation from dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency Program at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ, followed by a full time associateship in Hillsborough, NJ. Dr. Roberson furthered his education by enrolling in the Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency Program at University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Dental Medicine. While there, he performed his duties as a resident, as well as numerous additional duties such as class president, course director and teacher for the undergraduate orthodontics class, as well as a member of various committees. During his residency, he successfully completed the written portion of his American Board of Orthodontics Examination, which makes him board eligible. Upon graduation, Dr. Roberson began setting up his private practice in Las Vegas, as well as honing his skills as an orthodontist by working as an associate at a practice in Reno, NV.
In January 2010, Dr. Roberson joined Roseman University as a full time faculty member in the Advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics/MBA (AEODO/MBA) Residency Program. Dr. Roberson is currently an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO), and American Dental Education Association (ADEA). He is also serving on a number of University Committees such as Faculty Senate and the Intramural Grant Review Committee (IGRC).
