Prashanti Bollu, MBA, MS, DMD

Associate Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Prashanti Bollu received dental school training from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. She holds a Master’s degree in Health Care Administration as well as a Master’s in Business Administration. Part of the inaugural class, Dr. Bollu received her orthodontic training from the Roseman University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Bollu has received several awards for outstanding academic achievements during her undergraduate and graduate training. Her interest in research was sparked early in dental school and strengthened further during her employment at Boston University during which time she worked with many prominent researchers. She has been involved in several research projects and presented multiple posters at national conferences. Dr. Bollu has been recognized by DENTSPLY and Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, for outstanding research.
Besides serving as a clinical and teaching faculty, Dr. Bollu was actively involved in growing the research component of the Advanced Education in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics (AEODO) /MBA Residency Program. As Director of Dental Research for College of Dental Medicine (Henderson Campus), she facilitated all resident and faculty research endeavors. Her research interests include Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), practice management issues, orthodontic insurance coverage gaps and access to orthodontic care.
Currently, Dr. Prashanti Bollu serves as the Interim Program Director for the AEODO/MBA residency program. She also practices in a few private orthodontic offices in the Las Vegas area. Dr. Bollu is a Board Certified Orthodontist and has active professional affiliations with multiple national and regional dental/orthodontic associations including American Association of Orthodontics, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, and Southern Nevada Dental Society. She has also been a member of the International Association of Dental Research as well as the American Association of Dental Research.
James M. Broadbent, DDS, MS
Associate Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. James M. Broadbent joined Roseman University of Health Sciences in 2009 (the first year of orthodontic residency training) as a full-time faculty member in the Advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics/MBA (AEODO/MBA) Residency Program. At Roseman, he is course director of several modules of learning. He serves on University faculty senate and several committees. His professional and research interests include phase I orthopedic growth modification, functional jaw orthopedics, accelerated orthodontics, facial esthetics, and air way and temporomandibular joint disorders.
Dr. Broadbent graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Zoology. Dr. Broadbent received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago. He completed a dental specialties internship at the Chandler Medical Center, University of Kentucky. He then served as an Assistant Professor of Crown and Bridge at Northwestern University Dental School and practiced general dentistry prior to dental specialty training. Dr Broadbent received his Master of Science (MS) degree and Certificate in Orthodontics from Northwestern University.
Dr. Broadbent practiced orthodontics many years in Provo, Utah, and served as adjunct faculty at Utah Technical College (now Utah Valley University), American Institute of Medical Dental Technology, and Provo College. Dr. Broadbent made a significant contribution to the art and science of orthodontics in teaching numerous continuing education courses, seminars, and presentations at local, state, and national and international dental meetings, and university graduate training programs. Along the way, he was awarded the Joseph E. Johnson Outstanding Table Clinic, American Association of Orthodontists, and twice the (AAFO) J. Robert Bronson Clinician of the Year award.
Dr. Broadbent completed board certification in orthodontics, achieving the status of Diplomate, American Board of Orthodontics. His interest and training in temporomandibular joint disorders and oral facial pain lead to achieving status of Diplomate, American Academy of Pain Management.
Dr. Broadbent has published many articles in several professional journals. He served as president of the Provo District Dental Society, Utah Dental Association annual program, and president of the Utah Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Broadbent demonstrates vision and leadership in community organizations and service. He is recognized as a Kentucky Colonel, Commonwealth of Kentucky; member President's Club, Brigham Young University; Boy Scouts of America distinguished Silver Beaver; and James E. West Fellow. For more than 20 years he served the Boy Scouts of America; Utah National Parks Council (one of the largest National BSA Councils), as Council Jamboree Chairman; National Boy Scout Jamboree, A.P. Hill Virginia (1985, 1989, 1993); and Chair of highly successful Council Events (1996, 2000) and as Utah National Parks Council Commissioner (1987-2000) and UNPC Vice President Program (2000-2003). He earned the distinguished Eagle Scout and Silver Explorer awards.
Dr. Broadbent is a member of the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, Utah Association of Orthodontists, American Association for Functional Orthodontics, International Association for Orthodontics, and the American Dental Educators Association.
Before joining Roseman University of Health Sciences, he served as attending dentist and adjunct faculty instructor of several courses of education at Salt Lake Community College, Dental Hygiene Program (South Jordan Utah Campus).
Dr. Broadbent is licensed to practice dentistry in California, Nevada, and Utah.
Personal activities include fly fishing, off-road rock crawling motor sports, over landing motor sports, and white water river running.
Ji Hyun Ahn DDS, MSD
Assistant professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Ji Hyun Ahn graduated from the Kyungpook National University, School of Dentistry with a DDS degree and Orthodontic graduate school with a MS degree in Korea. After working for over 10 years, she came to the University of the Pacific, Orthodontic Department in San Francisco as a visiting scholar. Over there she completed her second orthodontic training with another MS degree.
Dr. Ahn completed board certification in orthodontics, and 2 of her cases were displayed during the annual AAO conference in New Orleans and the PCSO meeting in Anaheim. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Ahn is professionally affiliated with the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO) as well as Korean Association of Orthodontists (KAO), Korean Dental Association (KDA).
Dr. Ahn is a full time faculty in AEODO/MBA residency program and a member of Center for Innovations of Healthcare Education (CIHE) team at Roseman University. She is interested in researches on Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) and 3D Printer.
Other than orthodontics, Dr. Ahn likes hiking, traveling and snowboarding. She enjoys sharing testimonies and encouraging others, believing loving others is our goal.
Terry Dischinger, DDS
Clinical Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Terry Dischinger is considered nationally as a leader in both functional jaw orthopedics and orthodontic technology and has lectured extensively throughout the World. He has written numerous articles published in national orthodontic journals. Dr. Dischinger is a member of several national study clubs, which deal in the latest techniques in orthodontics. His training and experience also encompasses treatment of facial pain and jaw disorders (TMJ). Dr. Dischinger holds three academic degrees, including a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, a dental degree from the University of Tennessee, and two-year doctoral graduate training in orthodontics from the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center. Dr. Dischinger is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). He established his orthodontic practice in Lake Oswego, Oregon in 1977.
His previous career includes a U.S. Olympic gold medal in basketball, NBA Rookie of the Year, and All-Star status during his nine-year career in the National Basketball Association. He also served his country as an officer in the U.S. Army.
Donald Linck DDS, MSc
Clinical Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Donald Linck II, a board certified orthodontist, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of California in San Francisco. He practiced general dentistry in the U.S. Navy (as a lieutenant) and Berkeley, California, prior to earning his specialty certification in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from Columbia University, New York, in 1968. Since then he has maintained a full time, exclusive orthodontic practice in Pleasant Hill, California. He also maintains satellite offices in Hercules and Concord, both in California.
Dr. Linck is exceedingly passionate about continuing one's professional education as evident by one of his latest accomplishments, receiving his Master of Science Degree from the University of Donau in Krems, Austria; the topic for his master's thesis was distraction osteogenesis.
Dr. Linck's commitment to his profession and to clinical excellence has gained him considerable respect among his peers both nationally and internationally. He is often called upon to lecture around the world on such subjects in dental sciences and orthodontics as TMJ dysfunction, orthognathic surgery, and distraction osteogenesis, just to name a few.
In addition to being a professor at Roseman University College of Dental Medicine, he is currently on the faculty of the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry and University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, and on staff at Stanford University School of Medicine, Division of Plastic Surgery, Children's Hospital and Research Center at Oakland, John Muir Hospital, Walnut Creek, and Mt. Diablo Hospital, Concord.
His other professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, the California State Society of Orthodontists, the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education, the American Dental Association, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and a Charter Member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists.
Jahnavi Rao, DDS
Clinical Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Jahnavi Rao received her DDS with honors from University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry. She continued her education and clinical training at The Ohio State University where she received her Certificate in Orthodontics and Master of Science. Her research evaluated bone remodeling around miniscrews and has been published in textbooks and citied in numerous journals. Dr. Rao received several awards for outstanding academic achievements during her undergraduate and graduate training following which she moved to California and, then to Nevada to start her private practice.
Dr. Rao has been involved with education and teaching since 2007. Before joining Roseman University she was an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). While at UNLV she directed graduate level courses for both orthodontic and pediatric residents and also trained undergraduate dental classes in orthodontic treatment planning. She has given educational presentations on auto transplantation of teeth, bone response to TADS‘s (temporary anchorage devices) and orthodontic practice management techniques at various dental schools.
Dr. Rao's national involvements include serving as the Nevada Spokesperson for the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Board Member, Products & Services Committee for the AAO, Chair, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO) Southern Regional Division, Board Member, Reserve and Investment Committee (PCSO) and, Member of DSO Task Force for the American Association of Orthodontists.
She has also served on many Planning Committees for continuing education at the state, constituent and component levels for the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and, continues to be an active member of the AAO.
Additionally, Dr. Rao currently holds memberships in many national and international organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, the Society of Educators, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists, and the Nevada Orthodontic Society.
Dr. Rao has been living in Las Vegas, Nevada for the past 8 years and spends a considerable amount of her time at her private practice. She has been recognized as one of "America's Top Dentists" by the Consumers' Research Council of America, multiple times. She was recently elected by her peers to become the President Elect for the Nevada Orthodontic Society (2015-2016) for a one year term, following which she will become the President of the society. Her personal interests include travelling to historic places, trying out different cuisines and spending time with friends and family.
Glen Roberson, DMD
Clinic Director, AEODO/MBA Residency Program
Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Roberson graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), New Jersey Dental School as valedictorian in 2004. During his dental training, he was the recipient of many awards and a member of many honor societies.
Following graduation from dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency Program at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ, followed by a full time associateship in Hillsborough, NJ. Dr. Roberson furthered his education by enrolling in the Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency Program at University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Dental Medicine. While there, he performed his duties as a resident, as well as numerous additional duties such as class president, course director and teacher for the undergraduate orthodontics class, as well as a member of various committees. During his residency, he successfully completed the written portion of his American Board of Orthodontics Examination, which makes him board eligible. Upon graduation, Dr. Roberson began setting up his private practice in Las Vegas, as well as honing his skills as an orthodontist by working as an associate at a practice in Reno, NV.
In January 2010, Dr. Roberson joined Roseman University as a full time faculty member in the Advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics/MBA (AEODO/MBA) Residency Program. Dr. Roberson is currently an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO), and American Dental Education Association (ADEA). He is also serving on a number of University Committees such as Faculty Senate and the Intramural Grant Review Committee (IGRC).
Richard M. Stevens, DMD
Clinical Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Stevens first became interested in orthodontics while in high school and his orthodontic treatment was being completed. He was managing a gas station and doing mechanical work, but his orthodontist encouraged him to become an orthodontist. Dr. Stevens graduated from the University of Utah in Medical Biology, and completed his professional training in Boston at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Stevens is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is a founding member and Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists. He has been active in several national, regional, state and local professional societies. Highlights include service as President of the Nevada State Society of Orthodontists, President of the Northeast Nevada Dental Society, and founding member and Vice-President of the Association of Lingual & Esthetic Orthodontists.
Some of Dr. Stevens’ professional contributions include publishing several papers on orthodontics, including topics on lingual appliances, adult orthodontics, and early treatment. Teaching review courses for the orthodontic section of the National Board Exams to dental students from Tufts, Harvard and Boston Universities, lab instructor for the orthodontic courses in the dental school curriculum at Tufts, and presenting clinical and continuing professional education courses. Dr. Stevens has also taught courses in all levels of rock climbing at Great Basin Community College and is active in the Boy Scouts of America.
Dr. Stevens finds orthodontics an interesting and progressive specialty that provides a very beneficial service. Dr. Stevens feels that the orthodontist is in an ideal position to reinforce a positive outlook on life as well as help patients gain greater self-confidence which can lead to improved relations in the social and employment arenas. The main reason Dr. Stevens specialized in orthodontics is because it provides a unique opportunity to do something for others, which will have a beneficial effect throughout their lives.
Outside his professional endeavors, Dr. Stevens enjoys acting as a subject matter expert and consultant in legal, clinical, and business matters. He is active in his church and spends as much time as he can outdoors with family and friends camping, climbing, hiking, hunting, fishing, water and snow skiing, motorcycling, cycling, and in the shooting sports. Mechanics, metal & wood working, and refurbishing items are additional interests.
Karthikeyan Subramani, BDS, MSc, MS
Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Subramani received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from The Tamil Nadu MGR Medical University (India) and a Master of Science degree from University of Newcastle upon Tyne (United Kingdom) in Biomedical Nanotechnology. He has also completed a fellowship program in Orthodontics and Craniofacial Research at the University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY) prior to completing his Advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency Program and at the same institution. During his education at the University of Kentucky, he was involved in the American Association of Orthodontics Foundation (AAOF) funded research project leading to a second Master of Science degree.
Dr. Subramani was the recipient of the prestigious 2006 Andre Schroeder Research Prize from Straumann (Switzerland) for his innovative research findings during his Biomedical Nanotechnology degree program in the United Kingdom. Dr. Subramani was involved in the International Team for Implantology (ITI) funded research projects in Switzerland, the Netherlands and in the USA. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed original research and review manuscripts and has authored numerous book chapters.
Dr. Subramani is the editor for 2 textbooks, “Emerging Nanotechnologies in Dentistry” (Foreword by Nobel Laureate Sir. Harold W Kroto) and “Nanobiomaterials in Clinical Dentistry” published by Elsevier and is currently a member of various editorial boards of Nanotechnology, Implantology and Orthodontic journals.
Dr. Subramani is a full time faculty in AEODO/MBA residency program and is professionally affiliated with American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), American Dental Association (ADA), International Association for Dental Research (IADR) and Indian Dental Association (IDA). Dr. Subramani has presented his research findings in numerous international conferences and his research interests include Nanotechnology, Nanobiomaterials, Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) and cell-implant surface interaction.
Dr. Subramani’s personal interests include painting, photography, travelling, working out and spending time with his family.
